16.2h, 4 year old rose grey turned light grey registered TB mare. Two tall white socks and white blaze. Never raced or trained to race, not tatooed. Was bred and broke to be a show hunter, though she does have excellent racing bloodlines (Secretariat / Marfa). Both parents started off at the race track and then went on to be successful show hunters and jumpers. Gorgeous correct filly! Brave and sane. Was lightly broke as a 2 year old and then re-started as a 3 year old - She was never pushed or rushed. Professionally started. Nice mover with an incredible canter and was always sensible under tack. No vices. Loads, clips, crossties, etc. Turns out well with other horses. She hasn't been in work for some 6 months now (through no fault of her own)(her price reflects this), but it shouldn't be too difficult to get her going again. She has been lunging in tack occasionally. Owner is very sad to sell this filly, but doesn't have enough time and has non-riding-related injuries that prevent her from re-starting the mare. She has the potential to be very competitive in the show ring or could be an excellent broodmare with her bloodlines and conformation. Photos of her and both parents available. Good home a must! Located in Windsor. $5,000. Email Twofoxfarm@aol.com for more info.
Update 12/4/08: We rode Sadie yesterday for the first time in 6 months. She was a superstar! Walk, trot, canter both directions and even trotted a little jump. She was truly a pro and so easy! Potential to be a nice junior or amateur horse. Video clip available via email.
This mare is sold. Thanks to Laura Vello, Catherine Gellman and Ann Thal for spreading the word. Sadie is going to a wonderful new eventing home in PA.
